Asbestos free organic friction material (NAO) brake sheet
Non-asbestos organic brake sheet mainly uses glass fiber, aromatic polyacid fiber or other fiber (carbon, ceramic, etc.) as reinforcement material, its performance mainly depends on the type of fiber and other added mixture.
Asbestos-free organic friction materials have been developed primarily as asbestos substitutes for brake drums or shoes, but more recently they are beginning to be tested as substitutes for front disc brake discs. In terms of performance, NAO type brake sheet is closer to asbestos brake sheet than semi-metal brake sheet, it does not have good thermal conductivity and good high temperature control as semi-metal brake sheet.
